Terry Argo

CEO


After completing his service to the U.S. Army, including a tour of duty in Vietnam, Terry Argo formed Argo Building Company in February of 1974. In the company’s early years the focus was small remodeling projects which he personally managed and installed but quickly grew to include light industrial, restaurant, retail, healthcare, and institutional work of all sizes and complexities. As the company has grown in both size and sophistication Mr. Argo has assembled a core staff who share his work ethic and commitment to craftsmanship. Today Argo Building Company has the experience and capability of completing nearly any modern construction project.

Gary Niven

President


Gary Niven joined Argo Building Company in October of 1988 and started his career with the company in the field. He has worked in every facet of the construction industry from carpentry, logistics, field personnel management, project management, scheduling, and estimating. He was named President of Argo Building Company, LLC. in January of 2015.

Jim Acton

Vice President


After graduating from Auburn University with a B.S. in Building Science, Jim Acton joined Argo Building Company in October of 1990. Since his arrival he has been invaluable to ABC as both a project manager and estimator. Mr. Acton now oversees all of our estimating and is an expert at hard bid preparation, owner cost estimation, project budgeting, and scheduling. He was awarded the “Estimator of the Year” award in 2004 from the American Subcontractor’s Association.

Chris Chaney


Chris was born in the Mississippi delta and grew up in Tupelo; Ms. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University, College of Engineering. He has served on the Associated Builders and Contractors Board of Directors. He has acquired GC licenses in AL and NC. He has constructed projects directly for the Corps of Engineers, Veterans Affairs, and various local government entities. His largest project has been the 1.1 million square foot, Honda A2 Assembly Plant in Lincoln; AL. He and his family have lived in the Homewood, Al area since 1993. He is an avid outdoorsman and family man.
